Scott is Series 6, 7, 63 and 24 licensed advisor and currently serves 350-400 clients. He has been actively involved in giving back to the Manhattan community by serving on numerous boards and committees. He has served as President of the Manhattan Rotary Club and was selected Rotarian of The Year in 2016. He has served on the USD 383 Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors and the Riley County Police Department Community Advisory Board. He currently serves as a Trustee of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation and the Board of Directors for Homecare & Hospice. He is an active member of First United Methodist Church and has two children and two grandchildren. His hobbies include volunteering, travel and golf.
